Unifying Goal

Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good.

The Charities We Support

Artivism is not really a movement. It’s more an attitude, a practice which exists on the fertile edges between art and activism. Click to read more about the charities that MTArt Agency supports to drive meaningful changes.

Artivism by MTArt Agency

  • Malaika provides access to electricity, clean water, or educational facilities to girls in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • Choose Love funds millions of life-saving and essential items, from sea rescue to warm clothes and education packs for refugees.
  • CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty, and achieve social justice.
  • Little Sun works together with communities living without electricity to test and implement ways to use solar power in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Crisis is the UK national charity for homeless people. The charity offers year-round education, employment, housing and well-being services.

We are convinced that Artists have a fundamental role to play in society to make us reflect on the world we live in. However, it is key for us to amplify the impact of our cultural activities by supporting charities that have a quantifiable positive impact on the topics and issues we are passionate about.

Visual Diet

Visual Diet is an initiative launched by MTArt Agency in collaboration with M&C Saatchi and Rankin to debate how unhealthy images affect our mental health. Click to read more about our findings and our engagements.

We are what we see

visual dietnoun. The visual content that a person willingly or unwillingly consumes per day.

What’s your diet? Wholesome, healthy, naughty, gluttonous?

What’s your visual diet? Narcissistic, retouched, sexualised, addictive?

We are force-fed tens of thousands of images every day. Many are hyper-retouched, sexually gratuitous and highly addictive. MTArt Agency wants to make people aware that, just like you are what you eat, what you see affects your mental health. Through this campaign, the agency aims to promote a balanced visual diet to prevent binging on overly-processed, body- and mind-negative content.

The Gallery Climate Coalition

MTArt Agency is part of the GCC. Its role is to facilitate a greener and more sustainable art world. Click to read more about how we work on significantly reducing our carbon footprint and on supporting the coalition.

Making the art world a greener place

GCC members will:

  • Commit to a carbon estimate using the GCC online calculator. Carry out more detailed carbon audits to monitor sources of emissions that need reducing, and to track ongoing progress.

  • Commit to implement changes in operations to reduce carbon footprints by 50% over the next ten years.

  • Reduce waste.

  • Compensate emissions by donating to companies committed to systemic change.

  • Recognise and work towards mitigating embedded climate injustice.

The GCC provides information and the necessary tools so that we can collectively reduce our carbon footprint by 50% over the next ten years (in line with the Paris agreement), along with near zero-waste practices.

We believe we can be more effective and bring about greater change by working together to form a coalition of members throughout the art world. GCC members have already formed a number of working committees to tackle specific topics and we welcome active participation from all members. We are committed to working with parallel initiatives in other countries.
