Through No.3 is a six-metre long triangular prism corridor of light and colour created originally for Spinningfields, Manchester (November 2015 – January 2016) and later exhibited in Leeds Dock (2018 – 2020) and Duke of York Square, London (October 2020). The work was commissioned in 2015 by Allied London and Castlefield Gallery, Manchester. The walk-through structure encourages visitors to look at their surroundings in a different light. Making their way inside the multi-coloured corridor through either side of the structure, visitors see the world around them transformed by saturate colour. The coloured barrier between the outside and inside creates a multi-coloured striped cloak and distortion in an array of different hues, transforming the usual colourations and appearance of the outside environment.
