In 2019, American rapper Chance the Rapper commissioned Sara Shakeel to create a Swarovski crystal embedded translucent CD, for his debut studio album ‘The Big Day’. The CD was photographed in Chance’s hand on the album cover, the crystals illuminated by the sun, reflected on his palm.
Evian, Exhibition at Protein Studios, London, 2022
In 2022, Evian partnered with Sarah Shakeel for a three-room art installation at Protein Studios, Shoreditch, for the launch of Evian’s Sparkling water. For the exhibition Shakeel transformed a variety of everyday or ‘banal’ objects, such as London buses, or plates and dishes, with thousands of crystals, bringing to life Evian’s Sparkling water.
Lancôme Holiday Campaign, 2020
Shakeel collaborated with French luxury beauty house Lancôme for their Christmas collection, starring Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried. The collection features an ultra-gliterry makeup collection, a high-performance serum called Advanced Gènifique, a vevlet cream, and three new fragrances; all creatively designed by Shakeel.
