Who we are

When MTArt Agency was founded in 2015, we wanted to build the reputations of the most inspiring artists and to inspire everyone in every setting with their art. Fast forward to today, and we still live by this same vision, representing some of the most talented, forward thinking artists in the world, working with global organisations and cities, and nurturing our very special community of art-lovers and collectors.

We want to live in a world where art is accessible to everyone, everywhere. For us, art is not a luxury but an essential and that is why public art is a core part of our strategy. We want to live in a world that is inclusive, diverse and fair, which is why we act accordingly in all that we do – we pay our interns, we support our artists both financially and with their wellbeing, and we dedicate ourselves to promoting and supporting meaningful art. We are beyond proud to be the first UK company in the art sector to have B Corp status.

This vision and values are what attracts the most brilliant people who are just as committed to change as we are. Behind the scenes of MTArt Agency, there is a team of smart, dedicated people who work to deliver the most inspiring public art installations, supporting the most talented and impactful artists in the world, forging meaningful relationships between brands and artists, and providing a nurturing and caring community for everyone who cares about art and the impact it has. Our team brings together a group of minds that each offer certain skills, knowledge and experience that we value from our Founder Marine Tanguy, and Head of Strategy Lise Arlot, the ex art director and cofounder of Feral Horses to Blue Gaydon, our new Executive Director of Brand Partnerships, who was previously Creative Partnerships Director at British Vogue and Bespoke Director at Wallpaper* and Charlotte Fletcher, our Head of Communication with ten years of marketing expertise. We are so lucky to be backed by the most amazing business people. Frédéric Jousset wants everyone to have access to art and has built a fund of $119m to support upstart arts and culture projects, Saul Klein is redefining the future of the entertainment world and has sold companies to both Apple and Amazon, Tracey Brown empowers people in the art sector and is known as the first female CEO to do this, David Amsellem is renowned for selling his multi-million dollar company, which was similar to MTArt Agency, Helen Sunderland-Cohen provides access to the Asian market, Robert Falzon offers financial expertise, Nicolas Barnabé brings a wealth of digital marketing expertise, and Nicolas Laurent offers his investment expertise amongst many others.

We have a dedicated selection committee, which is formed of some of the most influential art collectors in the world who handpick the talents that we will represent, looking for innovation, vision and impact. Hailing from all over the globe our committee consists of Sveva D’Antonio Taurisano and Edoardo Monti from Italy, David Leppan from South Africa, Alejandra Castro Rioseco from Spain and Ari and Ann Rosenblatt from the USA.

Whilst only 15% of art buyers are women, our ambassadors mainly consist of self-made women, and they demonstrate a new wave of women art collectors that we love to nurture. Our ambassadors are headed by our wonderful Patron of the Year, Inès Leonarduzzi, who is an entrepreneur, an author, a lecturer, and the CEO and Founder of the Earth project, Digital for the Planet, which aims to develop digital sustainability through durable and low carbon technology.

With an array of minds this powerful, inspirational and forward thinking, we cannot wait to make wonderful things happen this year.

Thank you so much for your trust in us. Onwards.

Meet the founder:
Marine Tanguy

An advocate for artists since a young age, Marine Tanguy managed her first gallery at age 21 and opened her first art gallery in Los Angeles at age 23. After seeing the restrictiveness of the traditional gallery model, Marine launched MTArt Agency in 2015. MTArt is the first talent agency for visual artists worldwide. Clients love to work with the agency to identify the next rising star in the art world. They trust its rigorous selection and the expertise of the team to integrate their art in the most extraordinary contexts. MTArt Agency was behind the largest public art painting in the world: the project of Saype in Paris supported by 30 companies including the Eiffel Tower and the Guardian Media Group. Its artists enhance your homes, cities, screens, and advertising spaces with their art. They broadcast their inspiring messages and visuals for you to lead a more visually inspiring life. Marine was awarded Forbes 2018 30 under 30 Europe: Art & Culture and UK entrepreneur of the year for the 2019 NatWest Everywoman Awards. She is a writer and keynote speaker on contemporary art and art investment. Her talks include two TEDx Talks on how to transform cities with art and how social media visuals affect our minds.
