Cyril de Commarque, Frontiers.

Frontiers is a series of gold plated aluminium sculptures, an edition of maps that evokes the evolution of borders in the 20th Century for key countries which have been questioning the limit of the nation. Each layer of each map symbolises the movement of the frontiers through the century. In most cases, these hegemonic actions resulted later on in a major loss of territories or in permanent instability.
