Cyril de Commarque, Les Marseillais.

The Marseillais is one of the cards of the Tarot, but it is also in French a bit of a liar. A self-portrait hanging attached by one leg upside down.
Le Marseillais identifies our necessity to renounce in order to progress. He is an allegory of the individual need
to reinvent our relationship to the ecosystem. He shows our incapacities, he has to face a situation which he’s not under control anymore, but he has to pretend it is…. A mirror is hidden underneath Le Marseillais, just as a reminder of its duties.
