Sam Jacob, ‘Turned Tables’ as seen at the London Design Festival, The Victoria & Albert Museum, London, UK.

These turned tables in oak and sycamore are differentiated by the distinctive profiles of their shafts. The profiles are drawn from plastic bottles, soft drinks, cleaning products that are cut up, rearranged and juxtaposed with fragments of the Eames’ iconic stools. These ephemeral packaging forms, often bound for landfill or worse, are here transformed into solid form in a natural and sustainable material.

They were originally show at the V&A as part of London Design Festival.
