Sara Shakeel
Digital and Physical Collage
A Dental student turned digital artist, Sara Shakeel is all about conveying emotion through the use of crystals. Self-taught on Photoshop, Shakeel’s work doesn’t simply stop with a stylus on a screen. As one of only two artist’s in the world licensed to use Swarovski glass crystals in their work, Shakeel produces a variety of hand-embellished, bespoke pieces of art. When expressing the roots of her imagination and creativity, Sarah credits God, and notes ‘my art is either a story I want to live for myself, something I have witnessed, or a life I want to live’.
Amongst her long list of collaborators, Shakeel has partnered with industry giants such as Barneys New York, Huda Beauty, Amazon, BMW, Mercedes Benz, La Mer, Lancome, Lay’s, Coach, 21st Century Fox, Billboard Design for Manhattan Heights MIMA for their upcoming Luxury Condos in New York, L’Oreal, Front Cover Art for Architectural Digest Middle East, and Glamour Magazine Italia, Nails Inc London, Universal Music USA, Universal Music Poland, Sony Music Norway, Interscope Records, ES Magazine, Elle Magazine Germany, Moen Faucets, Reebok, Nike, Frankbod, MissGuided, Swarovski, HD brows, Bally, Galia Lahav, album artwork for Axwell & Ingrosso, the album cover for three time Grammy Award winner Chance The Rapper, and also creatively directed his pop-up store in Chicago in collaboration with Swarovski.
