Cyril de Commarque
Multidisciplinary artist
Represented by MTArt Agency, Cyril de Commarque is a French artist concerned with human development, hubris and potential. Living and working in Rome, Commarque has travelled extensively throughout Europe, and in the past has called London and Berlin home. Internationally renowned, his practice provides a critical enquiry into: technology, political discourse and action as well as the existential threats facing modern humans in the Anthropocene age. His installations are challenging and cathartic, providing an immersive experience for the audience and drawing on personal and societal symbolism to layer meaning. De Commarque work has featured in prominent solo and group shows at the Saatchi Gallery, Venice Biennale, Macro Museum, Grand Palais, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Bibliothèque Nationale de France and Fondazione Giorgio Cini.
